The infection rate of HIV is extremely high in our communities, and many have lost loved ones to this disease. Voluntary counselling sessions are done by our trained adherence counsellor, and patient confidentiality is kept in high regard at all times. An adequate diet, consisting of vegetables, proteins and carbohydrates, providing essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals, are absolutely essential to the recovery and well- being of our patients.

Patient and partner education regarding the transmission of HIV in our communities is of great importance, and our counselling sessions aim to educate our patients in this regard.

    An aggressive approach is kept in the diagnosing and treating of Tb in our patients, as we have experienced extensive morbidity and mortality due to the co-infection of Tb and HIV.

 Our partners in treating this disease are: Toga labs, Aurum health, Faranani Health Solutions, SACBC and CRS, and the different medical aid HIV management Programs, including AFA, Lifesense, and others. Our medical officer is qualified in the diploma in HIV management, and our approach to treating the disease adheres to national government guidelines.
